don't listen to me

Hello dear ones.

don't listen to me.

It wasn't too long ago that parenting "experts" were telling us that love is bad for babies. They said excessive kissing (more than once a YEAR) is unhealthy for children.

whoa.

So, I'm here to tell you not to listen to me and not to make me, or anyone else, the "expert". As much as we all want someone to give us the answers, to relieve our deepest worries and fears and uncertainties about our children, no one can. Parenting is a deeply vulnerable experience which makes us even more prone to look for answers out "there".

That doesn't mean that you are all alone. You have an "inner guide" who is so outrageously wise and who knows you and your beautiful children so well. You always have access to this wise resource by listening to what resonates with you.

So, definitely seek support because parenting today can be a lonely experience and cultural norms aren't always in support of natural parenting. Read books, go to workshops, talk to others, enjoy the npc newsletter :) and as you take in all of this outside information, notice in your gut what feels right to you. Be on guard for 'shoulds' and feel the difference between the energy of 'should' and the energy of your true inner guide (which feels like 'AHHHHHHHHH...YES'. )

So, don't listen to me, unless your hear a resounding 'Ahhhh' inside. That's what any great parenting coach is listening for when guiding you along this path...and it is so much fun when something resonantes loud and clear.
